How to make a bootable USB pen drive:

Step 1. Plug USB pen drive in.

Step 2. Download & install HP USB disk storage format tool. Download: http://files.extremeoverclocking.com/file.php?f=197


Step 3. Download the following win98boot files.
Download: http://files.extremeoverclocking.com/file.php?f=196


Step 4. Create a new folder on your desktop and from Win98boot.zip extract the following to that new folder: COMMAND, IO.SYS and MSDOS.SYS.

Step 5. Start the HP USB disk storage format tool. Select the correct USB drive under 'Device'.

Step 6. Set file system to FAT32.

Step 7. Name the 'Volume Lable' whatever you want the USB drive to be called.

Step 8. Under Format options tick 'Quick format' & 'Create a DOS startup disk'.

Step 9. Set the path for the 'using DOS system files located at' to the folder on you desktop containing the three Win98boot files.

Step 10. Click Start, this will now format the USB pen drive so that is it bootable.

Tip: In the bios set the USB device to the highest priority, causing USB drvice to boot first.
