BCCI should focus more on Test cricket, says Wadekar


Former India captain Ajit Wadekar has enquired the Cricket Board to focus more on advertising Tests than cash-rich Twenty20 tournament IPL.


"These days, trial similar to IPL have become more well-liked and significant than Test cricket and the last is losing its popularity," he said.

Wadekar, who led India to the historic 1-0 sequence win against West Indies in 1971, was addressing the 91st summer vacation address sequence here previous night.

Referring to the rout of Team India in Test series against England plus Australia, the former chief selector said
the BCCI should focus on popularising the more time version of the sport.
